Screening for Distress of people with cancer

With the objective to better meet the psychosocial needs of people treated for cancer at the Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital (HMR), a systematic screening tool for distress was implanted.

The objective is multiple: 1-evaluate the process of implementation of the tool, 2-seek to understand the interactional and contextual phenomena around the Screening for Distress, 3-gather information on the distress experienced by the target clientele at specific times of the care trajectory, and also 4-better understand nurses perceptions about distress screening.
